President, International Guild of Musicians in Dance; 2004-present
Responsible for all operations of the Guild, including membership development and various educational initiatives. During my tenure I have been able to increase membership by 20%, and have begun forging an alliance with the American College Dance Festival Association. In 2005 the Guild was an official participant in 80% of all regional dance festivals. Designed new recruitment brochure, 2005. Other initiatives begun are a document outlining fair compensation and working conditions for studio musicians, and I-CAN, an internet-based copyright-friendly music clearing house for choreographers and composers. Volume 7 of the Journal of the International Guild of Musicians in Dance was published during my tenure.
